WOLVERINE
Price range: $80.00 through $165.00
A two-component preparation of BPC-157 and TB-500 (Ac-LKKTETQ) in one lyophilized vial, supplied for in-vitro laboratory research. Identity of both components confirmed by LC-MS.
Description
Wolverine is a two-component preparation containing BPC-157 and TB-500 in a single lyophilized vial. The two peptides are frequently studied alongside one another in the connective tissue literature, and this preparation supplies both in one container.
What is in the vial
The first component is BPC-157, a synthetic 15-amino-acid peptide of sequence GEPPPGKPADDAGLV, derived from a partial sequence of a protein identified in human gastric juice. Its molecular weight is 1419.55 g/mol.
The second component is TB-500, supplied as the acetylated seven-residue peptide Ac-LKKTETQ (residues 17–23 of thymosin β4), approximately 889 g/mol. This short sequence is the actin-binding region of the parent protein. Identity of both components is confirmed by liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry.
Because this is a blend, no single CAS number, molecular formula or molecular weight describes the product. Each component is listed separately in the identity tables below, and the certificate of analysis for your lot reports the measured mass of each peptide in the vial.
Why the two are combined
The two peptides are investigated in overlapping research areas but through different described mechanisms, which is the usual stated rationale for studying them in combination.
Published work on BPC-157 has examined fibroblast migration in tendon-derived cell cultures, growth factor receptor expression in those cells, and angiogenic signalling via vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 and downstream nitric oxide pathways.
TB-500 reproduces the actin-binding region of thymosin β4. Published work on the parent protein centres on its role as an actin-sequestering protein. By maintaining a pool of unpolymerised monomeric actin within the cell, it participates in the regulation of cytoskeletal assembly, which governs cell shape and migration. Laboratory studies have examined keratinocyte and endothelial migration in culture and various injury models in rodents.
The rationale for combining the two is complementary mechanism. BPC-157 is described in the literature as acting largely through growth factor receptor signalling and angiogenic pathways, governing vascular supply and the signalling environment. TB-500, derived from the actin-binding region of thymosin β4, targets the actin cytoskeleton, governing cell mobilisation and migration. These are distinct, non-overlapping routes that address different stages of the same repair process, and that complementary-pathway relationship is the standard reason the two are paired throughout the connective tissue literature and in combined preparations.
Limits of the evidence
Neither component has completed human clinical trials for the applications described above, and no regulatory authority has approved either for use in humans. The literature consists overwhelmingly of rodent models and in vitro work on isolated cell populations, and findings in those systems frequently do not translate to other species.
Storage and handling
Store the lyophilized powder at 36 to 46 °F (2 to 8 °C), desiccated and protected from light. Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening so condensation does not form inside it.
Molar calculations require care with a blend. The two peptides differ in mass by a factor of about 1.6, so equal masses do not give equal molar quantities. Calculate each component separately using the molecular weights in the tables below and the measured content figures from your lot certificate, rather than treating the stated total as a single substance.
Purity and verification
Each lot is analysed by an independent laboratory, with identity confirmed by mass spectrometry and purity by HPLC, and per-component content reported separately. Test scope varies by lot; consult the certificate for the lot you receive.

Ac-LKKTETQ

This is a two-component blend. No single CAS number, molecular formula or molecular weight applies to the combined product — each peptide is listed separately above. Refer to the lot certificate of analysis for the mass of each component per vial.
